August 12, 2010 The Wenatchee Downtown Association board of directors is seeking self-nominations from our membership to fill one open position. This is an interim position which will last until March 31, 2013. This position will be appointed by the WDA board of directors. We are an all-volunteer, working board made up of people who are dedicated to maintaining a viable, economically solid downtown core. As a WDA member, serving on the board is one of the most effective ways to attain the kind of business environment you envision in downtown Wenatchee. Board members attend one board meeting per month, and are asked to serve actively on one committee. In addition, officers are elected to one-year terms and will serve on the executive committee. The Wenatchee Downtown Association is a 501 (c) 6 non-profit organization. Our mission is to strengthen and enrich the downtown experience. We follow the Main Street approach to downtown revitalization. Over 1200 traditional downtowns across the country take this comprehensive, volunteer-driven approach. The WDA was the winner of the 2003 Great American Main Street Award. If you are interested in working with the WDA Board, please contact us for more information. Sincerely,
Roy Gray Sarah Dempsey |
