Lynda Pheasant to tell story of Civil War vet
Oliver WallaceWashington state had no involvement in the Civil War, but many veterans of the Union and Confederate armies moved out here to homestead after the war. Lynda Pheasant of East Wenatchee, a member of the Wenatchee Area Genealogical Society, will talk about one veteran in particular, Oliver V. Wallace, who was one of the earliest settlers at the foot of Badger Mountain. Journey back in time at this midweek afternoon program on the fourth Thursday of the month.
When: Thursday, July 22, 2 p.m.
Cost: Regular museum admission (free for members)
At the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center
