Centennial Park will transform into an interactive environmental playground during Wenatchee's Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 17. The free event focuses on resourceful ways to conserve the environment, save money and explore your creativity. Wenatchee Valley Museum staff and volunteers will lead several children's art activities involving recycled materials. Other stations will provide information on making toxic-free cleaning products, building a composter and using water wisely. Kids can dig their hands into worm bins, learn about bats and see solar-powered toys. Local organic gardeners will sell plant starts, and entertainers will perform.
Come learn about hands-on projects to celebrate Generation: Green at Wenatchee’s Earth Day Festival! This free event will feature family activities, information on composting and recycling, and fun ways to protect and learn about the planet. This event is a partnership with the City of Wenatchee, Wenatchee Downtown Association, Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center, E.A.T., and The Nature Conservancy.
